10 Handmade Products That Will ACTUALLY SELL in 2027

10 Handmade Products That Will ACTUALLY SELL in 2027

Have you ever spent weeks pouring your heart into something beautiful, listing it in your shop, and then just hearing crickets?

Yeah, I have been there too. I have made pieces I absolutely loved that just would not sell. And in 2027, some handmade products are going to sell out again and again, while others just are not going to connect anymore. Hi, if you are new here, my name is Sterling and I am the artist here behind Cactus Lady Creation.

Every week I share my journey as an artist and my insights of running my small handmade business, which I have run for the past eight years. And in this video, I am going to share 10 handmade products that will actually sell in 2027.

We will cover why each one works, the real data behind it, and how to make it stand out in your own unique style. And as always, I am a Virgo, so I have a lot of research and stats to back up each one, which you can find below.

The handmade industry is still booming, because shoppers want to choose authentic over mass-produced more than ever. According to Grand View Research, the global handicrafts market was valued at 740 billion dollars in 2024 and is projected to grow from 810.1 billion in 2026 to 983.1 billion by 2030.

And there is a new macro shift behind that. In 2025 the average tariff rate on U.S. imports jumped from 2.6 percent to 13 percent, according to the New York Fed. And from March 2025 through February 2026, small-business importers paid an average of 441,000 dollars across all tariffs, according to American Progress.

So mass-produced imports got more expensive, and a lot of shoppers started looking local and handmade for gifts that feel personal and last. That is why Etsy is leaning so hard into gifting, personalization, wellness, bath and beauty, and accessories for 2026 into 2027 (Chain Storage). So let us get into what is trending, what is timeless, and what could become your next bestseller.

Crochet & Knit Wearables

The first product that is great to make and sell is made-to-order crochet and knit wearables. If you are a fellow crocheter, you are going to love this one, because people do not just want a basic beanie anymore. They want their beanie, in their colors, in their size, with their initials. In 2027, that desire for personalization is still one of the biggest drivers behind handmade sales.

The global personalized gifts market is estimated at 34.03 billion dollars in 2026 and is expected to rise to 61.66 billion by 2035. And in the U.S. alone, personalized gifting was valued at 9.69 billion in 2024 and is expected to reach 14.56 billion by 2030. (Business Wire)

And the great thing is, you do not have to reinvent your whole shop. Take one bestselling design and offer two or three personal options. Let buyers choose the color combo, the yarn type, or add a small initial or patch. Photograph the options really clearly, and make it feel like they are part of the creative process. So, instead of listing just one chunky cardigan for example, list that cardigan in three curated palettes with a size chart and a note that says made to order in two weeks. That keeps it manageable for you and really special for them.

Sustainable Home Decor

The second product is natural, sustainable home decor. This one definitely is not just a passing trend. People are nesting again and decorating slowly with pieces that feel good to own and are ethically made. For example, crochet storage baskets from t-shirt yarn, wall hangings from thrifted fibers and driftwood, or classic wood pieces that are simple and timeless. These blend function, style, and sustainability, which modern shoppers really love.

According to Global Insight Services, the sustainable home decor market is anticipated to expand from 388.7 billion dollars in 2024 to 663.9 billion by 2034. The overall home decor market was valued at 802.26 billion in 2025 and is anticipated to grow from 862.18 billion in 2026 to almost 1.3 trillion by 2034. So if you sell decor, definitely lean into that eco angle in 2027.

Use recycled or locally sourced materials, and tell that story in your photos and description. Say where the wood came from, or that the basket is made from deadstock yarn. That story is what turns a basket into a keepsake.

Personalized Jewelry

The third product is dainty personalized jewelry made to last. This trend has been growing for years, and in 2027 it is only getting stronger, because shoppers are tired of fast-fashion jewelry that turns green after two wears. (Professional Jeweler) They want delicate charm necklaces, recycled-metal earrings, hand-stamped pendants, initial bracelets, birthstone and zodiac pieces, anything that feels personal and intentional. And the numbers back it up.

The personalized jewelry market is 56.87 billion dollars in 2026 and is projected to reach 118.07 billion by 2035. (Business Research Insights) Also, jewelry is lightweight, low cost to ship, and so easy to customize without adding a ton of work. You can offer two metal choices, three charm options, and made-to-order initials. And to stand out, definitely lean into your specific niche and style. If you are boho, go boho. If you are minimal, keep it clean and timeless. And photograph it on real skin in natural light, so people can see the scale.

Upcycled Accessories & Reworked Fashion

The fourth product is functional upcycled accessories and reworked fashion. And this one is such a sweet spot for 2027 because it combines sustainability, creativity, and function, plus it makes so much sense with import prices going up.

For example, old jeans turned into patchwork pouches or sturdy totes, leather scraps turned into earrings, or leftover canvas from thrifted finds turned into rugged keychains and card holders. Because these are accessories, they are often lightweight and simple to ship, which makes them super practical for Etsy, markets, and small shops. And you have two advantages makers love.

Lower-cost materials if you source from thrifted pieces or deadstock, and rich storytelling. This tote was once two pairs of jeans. But sharing that as a font on text on top of showing the finished piece on social media alone will stop a scroller.

To make it sell, keep the shapes simple and usable, make sure your pieces look refined and finished for example if you make and sell bags make sure they are lined so they feel finished, and offer one personal touch like an initial stamp or color tab. One-of-a-kind is great, but one-of-a-kind in your specific aesthetic that fits a shape or style that’s trending will sell.

Ritual Wellness Goods

The fifth product is cozy ritual wellness goods. Handmade candles, room sprays, bath salts, shower steamers, and aromatherapy pillows. People are still investing in their daily rituals and small moments of calm at home. And that makes this a really strong lane for handmade sellers, especially when you pair it with beautiful branding or a signature scent collection.

According to Grand View Research, the global aromatherapy market was valued at 9.9 billion dollars in 2025 and is projected to grow from 10.7 billion in 2026 to 17 billion by 2033. That growth is fueled by shoppers prioritizing relaxation, mindfulness, and natural home products. And these products are incredibly giftable, which gives you a nice boost during holidays and market season.

If you love blending scents, definitely create two or three signature blends and reuse them across candles, salts, and sprays. Name them clearly, like Sunday Reset or Cozy Cabin, and offer a little gift set under 30 dollars. In a tighter-budget year, that easy giftable bundle is what gets added to cart.

Personality-Packed Pet Accessories

The sixth product is always in demand, and it is personality-packed pet accessories. Handmade pet products continue to be top sellers across Etsy, markets, and boutiques because people love spoiling their pets.

According to the American Pet Products Association, U.S. pet industry spending hit 158 billion dollars in 2025, up 3.7 percent, and is projected to reach 165 billion in 2026. The broader pet care market was valued at 181.9 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow from 190.5 billion in 2026 to 283.7 billion by 2033.

That means makers who bring personality, safety, and style have a huge opportunity. Think bandanas in fun prints, secure harnesses, catnip toys, durable rope leashes, personalized tags, or cozy pet sweaters. To stand out, definitely prioritize safety first. Use breakaway clasps for cats, strong hardware for large dogs, and washable fabrics. Then add personality.

Match the bandana to the owner sweatshirt, or offer the pet name embroidered. And show it on a real pet, because nothing sells pet goods faster than a cute model. And a few sub-trends right now in pet accessories are embroidered name and phone number colors, over the color and scrunchie bandanas, match your human style but subtle, personalized sweaters and small toys as custom sets, as well as charms, tags and functional add ons.

Digital Art Prints & Printable

The seventh product is one of my favorites because it is profitable and time-saving, and it is digital art prints and printables. The reason this is so strong heading into 2027 is because it protects you from the two things squeezing makers right now, shipping costs and inventory risk. There is no shipping, no packaging, no running out of stock at a holiday market. You make it once and sell it again and again.

And shoppers love it because it is low-risk and instant. A cozy cottagecore print for a dorm wall, bold graphic posters, affirmation cards, business templates, printable bookmarks, gift tags, or a calendar with your paintings. Anything that solves a problem or adds beauty fast. To make yours sell, definitely niche down and bundle. Instead of one isolated print, sell a set of three gallery-wall prints or a 12-month calendar with matching stickers. Show a mockup in a real frame and a close-up of the texture, and say exactly what size and paper to print on. That clarity builds trust and cuts down on messages.

Custom Pet Portraits

The eighth product is custom pet portraits. People love celebrating their furry family members, and nothing beats a personalized piece. Whether it is a digital download they can print, a hand-embroidered hoop, or a small watercolor painting. This is consistently one of Etsy top sellers because search volume stays high and it is so shareable. Buyers post their portraits, tag you, and your marketing basically does itself by people sharing your work word-of-mouth.

Since it is competitive, it is really important to add your own unique spin and style so you can stand out. Maybe you only do bright floral backgrounds, or funny costume portraits, or minimal line portraits from a single photo. It’s good to pick a style and really stick to it. And also streamline your process, you can ask for two clear photos up front, offer one background choice and one size, and give a clear turnaround time.

Digital portraits let you sell the same style multiple times, and small physical portraits are lightweight to ship. That combination of high emotion, easy sharing, and simple shipping is why this will still sell in 2027.

Handmade Journals and Stationary

The ninth product, if you are into book art or paper craft, you might love this one, which is handmade journals and creative stationary. From handbound notebooks and planners to stickers, printable inserts, and illustrated greeting cards, this category keeps growing because people want thoughtful tools for organizing, journaling, and gifting.

According to Grand View Research, stationery products were valued at 112.2 billion dollars in 2023 and are projected to grow from 128.9 billion in 2026 to 151.9 billion by 2030. The diaries and planners market alone is forecast to expand from 1.25 billion in 2026 to 1.73 billion by 2035. And the rise of remote and hybrid work has kept that tactile love of paper alive.

People want a beautiful desk setup at home. This is incredibly versatile because you can sell physical or digital and bundle them into sets for holidays. If you are an illustrator or painter, definitely put your art on the cover. To command a higher price, lean handmade and customizable.

Offer a name on the cover, or a planner insert that matches your niche, like a crochet project planner or a wellness journal. That customization is what lets you charge for craftsmanship instead of competing with mass notebooks.

Spiritual & Mindfulness Tools

And the tenth product is small-batch spiritual and mindfulness tools. Intention candles, handmade incense holders, crystal grids, affirmation decks, devotional tools, or simple meditation kits.

People are increasingly investing in products that support wellness, mindfulness, and daily ritual, and they are willing to pay for handmade, ethically made pieces that feel thoughtful. For makers, this is fantastic because you can do small batches, customize scents or colors, and tell a story with each piece. These are highly giftable and so easy to share on social media, especially in a little unboxing or morning-routine video.

If you are drawn to creating products that nurture minds, bodies, and spaces, this can be a really perfect lane. Say what it is for, how to use it, and what it is made from. So instead of just crystal candle, try eucalyptus intention candle for slow mornings, with a handwritten ritual card.

So overall, we can see that 2027 is not about chasing one viral fad. Moving out of 2026 and into 2027 is still about personalization, sustainability, giftable, and practical pieces that you can offer.

Shoppers facing continuously higher import prices and want to buy less but buy better, from a real person. So pick one or two ideas from this list that fit your skills, add your own style, and make the personal option super easy to order.
