Clothing
Cat Sweater by Alaska Crochet Co, see the pattern here.
First is the cat sweater by Alaska Crochet Co. It has sizes XS to 5XL. This pattern is inspired by Sandra Miller Maxfield’s blanket cat afghan pattern which was published in 1997. It’s more advanced beginner level to make, as it does require a bit of color work to create. And this one is a paid pattern in the online shop.
Or make this Cat-digan by Neil Crochet. This one has only one size which is Small / Medium, but you can also easily adjust it by repeating the motif. They have a color changing graph to help with the colorwork for this one, so this is also a bit more intermediate because you should be used to working with graphs.
This one is also a paid pattern in their shop, and the main special stitch for this one is the knit stitch and slip stitch into the back loop only. And I just love how eclectic this one is and all of the cat eyes in this design.
I also liked this Catitude top by Outstanding Crochet. This one is more advanced or adventurous intermediate, and the main technique is using the overlay mosaic crochet with slanted stitches, and a combination of single crochet in the back loop and double crochet in the front loop. It includes sizes XS to 2XL, and there is also color work with this one as well. And you should also be comfortable with working from a chart as well and it’s a paid pattern in their shop.

You could easily whip this up in one session, you just make 6 petals and the earholes with the leaves and stem then chin straps, and this one is free on the love crafts website.
Another one is the cat collar by Katya Novikova, and this one is crocheted from the bottom-up with appliqué added after the body part is complete. The ball buttons are crocheted and stuffed with yarn or fabric, which is great to make use of any scraps you have lying around. This one is a paid pattern on the love crafts website, and the pattern is more intermediate level, but does include a lot of row by row instructions, chart, and photos.
Or make this crochet cat scarf by Urszula K. This one has the same motif as the first pattern that I shared, and is more intermediate or great for a confident beginner as it does require color work and being comfortable with color changes and working form a chart. The pattern includes links to useful video tutorials as well. And this one is also a paid pattern on the love crafts website.
I also liked this jack cat bag by The Knit Gang. This one measures 32 by 31 cm, and I loved how minimal this design is. It’s also very beginner friendly and worked from the bottom up in rounds. The first rounds are worked with slip stitch joins and then it’s worked in a spiral which I love, because it makes for a more seamless join, and this one is free on the hobbii website.
Moon Cat Bag by Hello Happy, see the pattern here.
The moon cat bag by HelloHappy is also a fun one. The finished bag measures 14 inches wide by 8.5 inches, so it’s great to use to fit quite a few things into. It’s more advanced beginner to create, and is a paid pattern in their Ribblr. And I just love the little eyes and crescent moon on it, it just adds to the whimsical nature of this piece.
Or make this cat bookmark by Shy Spider Crochet. This one is beginner friendly and creates a bookmark that is 21 cm but you can easily adjust the length as you like by working more or less rows. This one is free in their Ribblr shop, and I love how the cat looks like it’s doing a little stretch, and thought it was really cute.
Granny Square
Cute Cat Square by Divine Debris, see the pattern here.
First the cute cat square by Divine Debris. This one is more intermediate level as you do need to know how to read a graph and be comfortable with doing colorwork. The finish and blocked squares measures about 4.5 by 4.5 inches, and is free on their blog. Of course you could adjust the size by working it with a lighter or heavier weight yarn, and this one includes two different cat square grid chart motifs.
Fantastic Cat Square by Step Steps, see the pattern here.
The fantastic cat square by step steps is also a fun one. It measures 8.5 by 8.5 cm when made with DK weight yarn, and is more intermediate to create. There is a link to a YouTube video tutorial showing how to change color with no starting chains, no slip stitch and seamless starting chains, and it’s a free pattern on the love crafts website. And it also has a really helpful diagram if you prefer reading and working from them.

This one is also a free pattern not the love crafts website.
Or make this Black Cat Square by Raffamusa Designs, it was a part of their Halloween Granny Square series, so you should definitely check that out as well If you are a fan of Halloween as well. This one is so cutesy and is beginner friendly as well, and is a paid pattern on the Lovecrafts website.

First is this Cat Coaster by Hannah Crochet. This one is beginner friendly, and would be quite easy to whip up a whole set in one crafting session. And this one is worked in the round, and is a YouTube video tutorial pattern and only uses basic stitches to make.
Black Cat Garland by Love and Stitch Co, see the pattern here.
Or make this black cat garland by Love and Stitch Co. This one is beginner friendly and would be quick and easy to whip up and is also free on the Love Crafts website. To create it they created 6 of the cat motifs and connected them together with a long chain and slip stitches, but of course you can adjust this and make it longer or shorter by making more or less cat motifs. And I love how this could be used as hanging decor, table decor, coasters or even to display on gifts as well.
Mondrian Cat Blanket by Knits Magic, see the pattern here.
This Mondrian Cat Blanket by Knits Magic is also a great make. This one is a paid pattern on the love crafts website, and there are two size options - with the sport weight yarn it measures 52 by 62 inches and worsted weight yarn measures 59 by 71 inches. This pattern is more intermediate as you do have to be comfortable following a chart, know the basics of corner 2 corner technique and be comfortable with color changes. I also love the colors they chose for this, and if you like this style you should definitely check out the Bauhaus Crochet Patterns round up that I shared recently.
Fairy Tale Cat Cave by Sarah Taylor, see the pattern here.
I also liked this fairy tale cat cave by Sarah Taylor. It measures 16.5 by 17 inches, and you can give your little feline friend a nice place to chill with this one. It is more intermediate level to create, and I loved all of the little butterflies and flowers they added to this one and it’s a paid pattern on Love Crafts.
The cat neck pillow by Yarnspiraitons is also a fun one. It measures 34 inches by 8 inches wide, so it’d be perfect to create and wear around the house or while traveling. It’s rated easy to create, but I would say it’s a bit more confident beginner, because it does require a bit of assembling and the only special stitches it uses is a bit of decreasing. And this one is a free pattern on their website.
