Next is the growing ivy blanket by Yarnspirations. This one is more intermediate level to make as the special stitch is the double crochet two and three together. It’s free on their website and measures 58.5 inches by 60.5 inches, so it’s a nice size for a throw. I love the color choice, and texture as well as the fringe that they added for this design.

Or make the three nesting baskets by Yarnspriations, so it’s also free on their blog. There are three sizes here measuring 10.5 inches to 16.5 inches in diameter, and it’s made with jumbo yarn which will give them a nice hold. This is definitely a beginner friendly project as long as you are comfortable working in the round, and I love how you can nest them in each other and create a nice little collection. These would make a lovely housewarming gift. 

 

Bottle of Poison by Starlit X Stitches, see the pattern here. 

Another great free pattern is this bottle of poison by Starlit X Stitches. It’s available on their ribblr, and is definitely beginner friendly as well. When made with worsted yarn it measures 15 cm tall by 10 cm wide, and you can add that skull appliqué or not depending on if you want that extra spooky vibe, and this one would be perfect to make and display in a little apothecary nook or shelf.

I also liked the potion bottle collection here by Curious Papaya. This one is also free on their website, and only takes about an hour per bottle to make so they’d work up quite quickly. The only special stitches is the double increase which is working 3 single crochet stitches in the same stitch. It’s suitable for intermediate levels or confident beginners, as it’s worked in a continuous spiral, so it’s good be comfortable with content. And for this there are three bottles and corks included in this pattern. I liked the twine they added here to finish it off. 

Dark Botanical Blanket by Cyndie B, see the pattern here. 

Next is the dark botanical blanket by Cyndie B. This one is a paid pattern on their website and is a bit more intermediate because it does require the overlay mosaic technique, and the finished size with medium weight yarn is 45 inches by 56 inches, so it’s quite a nice large size, of course you can make it small or larger depending on your gauge and the size of yarn you use, and I loved all the details and color work in this one. 

 

Another great pattern is this flower power pillow by Dayna Perry. It is also a paid pattern on their website and it fits a 14 inch circular pillow form, and it uses a variety of stitches including puffs double crochet, half double crochet and slip stitches. It’s a bit more intermediate level to make and I loved the texture on this one, and it’d be really perfect in green or brown tones to really add an apothecary earthy vibe to your space.

I also liked this heart basket with flower dividers by Dayna Perry. It’s a paid pattern on their website. It’s more intermediate as it does require you do be comfortable working in the round and would work up quite quickly as it uses bulky yarn. It measures about 5 inches by 10 inches as well, and I loved the removable divider to add a bit more organization.

Next is the flower pillow by Yarnspirations. This one is rated easy and the only special stitch is the single crochet two together. It measures about 22 inches in diameter and is made with jumbo yarn so it’d work up quite quickly. To create it you work the center and then the petals in the round, and this one is free on their website.

Here is a flower botanical bouquet by Hookok. This one is actually a collection of many flowers and leaves including a sunflower, African daisy, classic rose, small Thai rose, daisy flower, stuffed tulip, tulip, anemone, dahlia, water lily, pink champaign, calla lily, lavender and more. I would rank these as more intermediate but it really depends on which flower or leaf you make. There are a plethora of leaves as well including monstera, fountain grass, big leaf, monstera, bird of paradise and more. I thought this collection was so comprehensive and you could make a whole variety of different bouquets with these patterns, and they’re all free on their website. 

 

Botanica Blanket by Cypress Textiles, see the pattern here. 

Next is the botanica blanket by cypress textiles. This pattern is inspired by the Copenhagen botanical garden, I love how they included a combination of lattice and lace motifs to create a nice contrast that is inspired by the famous spiral staircase in the palm room of the garden. The pattern includes step by step photos, videos and written instructions. I love how this pattern has a patchwork sort of vibe and it does have a video tutorial. This one is more intermediate level to make and it’s very comprehensive featuring many different motifs.

Botanical Knot Bag by Sweet Softies, see the pattern here. 

First is the botanical knot bag by Sweet Softies. This pattern is free on their blog and a bit more intermediate or confident beginner friendly, and the length is 12 inches by 14 inches in width. The special stitch is the knit stitch, which there is a YouTube video tutorial. To create it you start with the base and body of the bag worked in the round, then work the straps and finish it off with the leaf. And this one would be fun to whip up and use as a market bag to carry herbs or flowers, and there is a YouTube video tutorial for this one as well. 

 

Botanical Shawl by A la Sascha, see the pattern here. 

Next is the botanical shawl by a la sascha. This one includes many different stitch patterns and is a paid pattern on their website. I love how it displays a leaf pattern design and the shape which is half round. It is more intermediate level to make and measures 72.5 inches wide by 33 inches high. The pattern written in English and Dutch and this one would be a perfect layering piece, or you can whip it up and feature it on a mantel even.

Another fun pattern is the nori flip flops by Samantha Ku. To create this you do need flip flops for the base then you crochet on the straps of the flip flop. This one is free on their website and I thought it was really creative and would be the perfect project for summer.

The botanical bag by dark n twistyhousewife is a fun one. It measures 15 inches by 17 inches before tassels, and is made with either heavy worsted weight or bulky yarn so it’d work up quite quickly. It does require the tapestry crochet method so it is a bit more intermediate level to make, and this one is a paid pattern on their website.

Next is the Fleurs Gloves by Fibre and Folk. It features fingerless gloves that use crocodiles stitches, and is more advanced beginner or intermediate level to make. The cuff is worked first flat and then the petals are worked in the round from the bottom up for a seamless finish, and this on is a paid pattern and I love the colors they made this one and it’s available in English and French. 

Rose Garland Scarf by Fibers By Tracie, see the pattern here. 

Or make the rose garland scarf by Fibers by Tracie. This one is free on their revelry, and can be a garland or a scarf. A little goes a long way as you can make this pattern with one skein, and the pattern includes the green stem and leaf and pink flower, and so you can create this to give your outfit a little botanical addition or your walls.

First is the gardens top by Emma R S. There are sizes XS to Large and it is worked from the bottom up in the crochet lace pattern. The sleeves are worked in the round in a different lace pattern and then the construction is a drop shoulder with narrow sleeves that widen for a slight bell sleeve. This one is definitely more intermediate level and is a paid pattern on the love crafts website.

Next is the botanical bralette by Krista Jenkins. It’s more intermediate level and is a paid pattern on their website. There are sizes XS to Large and it says it can support up to bust size 42 triple D. This one would be perfect for ren faire, cosplay or even Halloween, and I loved the leaves on the border of this piece and thought is really creative. 

 

Flower Power Poncho by Katie Jones Knit, see the pattern here. 

Or make the flower power poncho by Katie Jones Knit. This pattern is very inspired by Frida Kahlo and Mexican culture with the flowers and colors. It does require overlay crochet, so I would say it’s more intermediate level to make. I love all the details including the stripes, and rainbow colors contrasted with the black and fringes, and this one would be perfect to whip up and layer with for fall and is free on Ravelry.
