20 Old Hollywood Crochet Patterns That Channel Classic Glamour

20 Old Hollywood Crochet Patterns That Channel Classic Glamour

Glamorous silhouettes, dramatic lace, structured tailoring, and all the sparkle and sophistication of the silver screen era!

The term “Old Hollywood” usually refers to the Golden Age of American cinema, spanning the 1920s through the 1960s. This era gave us screen legends like Audrey Hepburn, Rita Hayworth, Grace Kelly, and Marilyn Monroe, and with them came an entire visual language of style: satin gowns, fur stoles, opera gloves, perfectly waved hair, and bold red lips.

Design-wise, it was all about elegance and exaggeration. Costume designers like Edith Head and Adrian Adolph Greenberg were behind many of the most iconic looks, using luxurious fabrics, dramatic silhouettes, and meticulous detail to create visual fantasy and escapism, especially during the Great Depression and post-war years.

What’s really cool is how this aesthetic translates into crochet and fiber art. We see vintage elements like shell stitches, peacock and pineapple stitch, lace motifs, fan patterns, and structured accessories that echo 1930s and ’40s fashion.

So in this round-up, I’m sharing some stunning crochet patterns that bring all that vintage charm to life. I’ve separated them into two different categories: Clothing and Accessories. And as always you can find all of the exact links to each pattern below. Alright, let's get started!
