50 Goth Crochet Patterns | Perfect for Fall and Winter

Hey everyone! 🌙 In the spring, I created a list of goth crochet patterns, and you all loved it as much as I did. Now that fall is here, it’s the perfect time to update that list with 50 new goth crochet patterns that are perfect for the colder months! 🍂🖤

In this video, I’m sharing crochet patterns divided into 5 categories: Accessories, Shawls & Cowls, Tops, Bottoms, and Dresses. From spooky scarves to cozy gothic dresses, there’s something for every dark soul looking to craft this season. 🕸️✨

 


Accessories: 

Princess Choker by Little John's Crochet, see the pattern here

First up is this gorgeous Princess Crochet Choker by Little John’s Yarn. Around here, we love a good choker moment, and this one is beginner-friendly, quick, and easy to whip up in under half an hour. It’s available as a video tutorial on her channel.

I especially loved how she added beads in the middle. Personally, I’d add a vintage cross or a big jewel for a unique touch. 

 

Bat Choker by Little Crafty Dog, see the pattern here

Or try the Bat Choker by Little Crafty Dog. It comes in two sizes: 11 inches (28 cm) and 14 inches (36 cm). This intermediate-level pattern is detailed, with a 10-page guide, and can be made in just a few hours. It features a tie closure for easy adjustment.

I really loved the black metallic yarn choice for this design. It's available as a paid pattern on their Ravelry.

 

Lace Collar by Kristen Stoltzfus, see the pattern here

I also loved this collar designed by Kristen Stoltzfus. The lace detailing is beautiful, and it measures 15 inches (38 cm) in circumference at the neck. It’s worked by making the neckband first, then continuing with the collar along one edge down to the lower edge. The special stitches used are the V stitch and large V stitch.

This pattern is made with a steel hook, which uses those really tiny hooks. I've been wanting to get more into steel hook crochet to make lace garments, so let me know if you'd be interested in that too!

I also loved this Bat Coffin Bag by Hygge Crochet Co. It’s perfect for advanced beginners, using only basic stitches, though it does require some sewing. The finished bag is quite large, measuring 15 by 11 inches.

This pattern involves crocheting the coffin-shaped tote first, then adding the bat appliqué. It's available as a paid pattern in their Etsy shop.

Or make these lovely Skull Earrings by Be Prema. The lace skull design is beautiful, and at 7 by 5 cm, they are small and delicate.

I especially loved the ribbon lace tie detailing on this piece. It would be a fun accessory to layer with for a gothic-inspired look!

This pattern is available as a free download on their website. I also love how she was inspired by bats to create this shawl and raise awareness about the decline in bat populations due to a fungus—it’s a great cause!

Nightshade Skirt by Doris Chan, see the pattern here

First is the Nightshade Skirt by Doris Chan. It’s designed with a round motif that flares out, with a finished size that accommodates a waist circumference of 25 to 45 inches and measures 31 to 35 inches long. This one is a paid pattern available on the Interweave website. I loved how dramatic and lacy this skirt is, with a nice drape that adds elegance to the design.
