7 PRODUCTS ARTISTS Can Sell in Their Sleep in 2025 (With Real Stats!)

If you’re an artist looking to make money while you sleep, and literally wake up to those “You made a sale!” emails, then you’re in the right spot!

Today, I’m going to walk you through exactly which digital products artists are selling online right now that bring in passive income. These are products you put in the work to create once, upload, and then sell over and over again.

Some of these are super simple. Some take a little more effort. But all of them are backed by 2025 trend reports and solid data, because if you’ve been around here at all, you know I love data and details. I’m sharing my research and my personal experience so you can run with these ideas.

Hi, I’m Sterling, the artist behind Cactus Lady Creation. Here, I share my art journey, inspiration, and insights. If that’s your thing, make sure you sign up for the newsletter and subscribe to the YouTube channel for weekly insights as ell.

And if you’ve never made a digital product before and you’re thinking, “Sterling, how do I even begin to create a digital product?” — don’t worry. I’m going to show you a tool that makes the design part super easy and fun as well.

Let’s get into it!

1. Printable Wall Art & Clip Art

The global wall art market was valued at $55.6 billion USD in 2024 and is projected to hit $59.5 billion USD in 2025, growing 7% year over year according to The Business Research Company. According to Future Market Insights, the global wall art market is expected to reach USD 130.2 billion by 2035.

According to Growing Your Craft, printable wall art and clip art are still top-selling digital categories, with artists reporting consistent sales from themed packs like botanical prints, motivational art, and abstracts. Customers love instant downloads, seasonal styles, and fresh designs, and once you upload your files, they can sell indefinitely without extra work.

If you’re wondering how to turn your scanned paintings or drawings into polished, sellable wall art, you’ll love Kittl.

Kittl makes it easy to design high-quality printable art, planners, stickers, branding kits, and even social media templates. Their templates are gorgeous, customizable, and beginner-friendly, you don’t need design experience to make something that looks professional.

If you’ve ever felt “stuck” trying to make a polished design, give Kittl a try. You can get started free using my link below, and code CACTUSYT gets you 25% off your first month or all Paid Plans.

2. Procreate Brushes

Procreate is still one of the most-used iPad art apps worldwide, and custom brushes are in high demand. Some creators have sold thousands of brush packs on Etsy. Skillshare and Graphic Design Trends report that brush sets typically sell for $5–20 USD, which means great margins. Create them once, and they can sell for years. Plus, you can bundle them or offer them as an upsell in your shop.

3. Templates (Planners, Notion, Resumes, Social Media Kits)

Digital templates rank among the fastest-growing digital products on Shopify and BSS Commerce. Creators often double revenue by releasing seasonal variations or changing colors on existing templates.

The best thing to do here is niching down! For example, make templates specifically for teachers, small businesses, artists, or job seekers, and tailor every detail to that audience. Customers love polished layouts without starting from scratch, and your products become instantly more valuable.

4. Ebooks & Art “How-To” Guides

Shopify lists ebooks as the #1 digital product for 2025. They’re easy to create, sell globally, and can be evergreen income sources. People are actively seeking niche knowledge,  from watercolor basics to Adobe shortcuts, and you can even upsell from your ebook into courses or workshops.

5. Phone & Desktop Wallpapers

Sellfy reports that wallpaper packs are one of the top easy-entry digital products of 2025. They’re inexpensive impulse buys (usually $2–5 USD) and can sell year-round, especially if you release seasonal or themed bundles. Creating aesthetic, holiday, or niche designs that customers refresh often, are great places to start!

6. LUTs (Color Grading Presets)

The global digital content creation market was $32 billion USD in 2023 and is projected to hit $69 billion USD by 2030. LUTs are loved by filmmakers and content creators for easy, cinematic color grading, especially for weddings and stylized projects. Make them once, bundle them, and they can sell endlessly.

7. Mini-Courses & Workshops

BSS Commerce and EzyCourse both rank mini-courses among the top-selling digital products of 2025, with some creators earning $2,000+/month from short lessons. The online education market is projected to reach $341 billion USD in 2025, so there’s plenty of opportunity. You can deliver your course as PDFs, slides, or videos, whatever works best for your teaching style.
