Astrology Inspired Crochet Patterns
I’ve always been fascinated by astrology. While I’m not a certified astrologer, I consider myself a student of the stars, constantly learning and exploring. For this post, I’ll be using the tropical zodiac, the most common system in Western astrology, which is based on the sun’s position in relation to the earth. It aligns with the spring equinox, beginning with Aries—so that’s where we’ll start, moving through each sign from there.
I’ll be diving into the traits, elements, qualities, symbols, ruling planets, flowers, and colors associated with each zodiac sign. Plus, I’ll explore the seasonal themes since we all experience every zodiac season throughout the year, no matter our sun sign. These energies influence us all in different ways, and I used them as inspiration to choose patterns that best represent each sign.
As always, you can find links to all the exact patterns I mention linked below.
And just a quick note—since the tropical zodiac is aligned with the seasons, the exact dates for each sign shift slightly from year to year due to leap years. I’ll be mentioning the specific dates for this year.
Aries:
Alright, let’s kick things off with Aries! Aries season runs from March 20 to April 19 and is a cardinal sign—meaning it’s all about action and fresh starts. Aries are known for being bold, competitive, honest, and unafraid of conflict.
