My Favorite Website to find FREE Crochet Patterns

My Favorite Website to find FREE Crochet Patterns

Over the past year, I’ve shared so many crochet pattern roundups with you, featuring tons of free patterns you can dive into. Crochet is such an amazing and accessible craft—it’s budget-friendly and doesn’t require a ton of materials. Seriously, all you need is some yarn, a hook, and a little patience, and you’re on your way to creating something beautiful!

In this post, I’m sharing all of my favorite websites for finding free crochet patterns. And don’t forget to check out the links on my blog (linked below!) for easy access to all these resources.

Yarnspirations

This first one won’t surprise most of you—Yarnspirations! It’s a treasure trove of over 10,000 free crochet and knitting patterns. From cozy blankets to stylish sweaters and accessories, they’ve got it all. Whether you’re a total newbie or a seasoned crocheter, their constantly updated library ensures there’s always something fresh to inspire you. So when you're in a creative rut, Yarnspirations is the perfect place to find your next project.

Hobbii

Next up is Hobbii, a Danish yarn company I absolutely adore for both their yarn and patterns. They offer a wide variety of designs for all skill levels, and I’m always discovering gems to add to my project list.

Earlier this year, I made a wrap top using one of their patterns, and I’ve got my eye on their hooded ghost sweater next. If you’re in need of inspiration, their pattern catalog will definitely have something calling your name.

Lion Brand

Ah, good ol’ Lion Brand—a staple for U.S.-based crafters. Their yarn is easy to find in local craft stores, and they always include free patterns on their labels and website. Their collection is filled with everything from plush toys to seasonal patterns, like this shaggy cardigan I’ve been itching to make.

I use Lion Brand yarn in many of my own designs because it’s affordable and accessible, making it perfect for crocheters of all levels.

LoveCrafts

If you’re not already browsing LoveCrafts, you’re missing out. They have a mix of free and paid patterns, so be sure to filter for the free ones. I love discovering new designers here—sometimes you’ll find a pattern you adore, and by checking out the designer’s profile, you’ll uncover even more goodies on their website.

Some of my favorite finds include these adorable vinyl record coasters and tons of granny square patterns (perfect for the 30-day granny square challenge I’ve been planning).

All Free Crochet

This site is a game-changer! I discovered All Free Crochet about six months ago, and it’s quickly become my go-to. With over 11,000 free patterns, including video tutorials, there’s no shortage of ideas here. They even publish digital magazines like I Like Crochet and offer free eBooks packed with patterns.

I also love that their patterns are vetted by editors, so you know they’re high quality—a huge relief when you’re diving into a new project.

Crochet.com

Crochet.com is another fantastic resource loaded with free patterns for all skill levels. Whether it’s a swirly blanket by Iassia Kryvonos or a quirky amigurumi alien by Megan Kreiner, you’re sure to find something delightful.

Ravelry

It’s no secret that Ravelry is a goldmine for crochet and knitting patterns. The platform is full of designs submitted by independent creators and larger publications, making it an incredible resource for discovering new favorites.

Simply filter by “free” and “crochet” (or “knitting” if you’re into that) to streamline your search.

Independent Designers & YouTube

Don’t forget to support independent designers! Many have free patterns on their blogs, supported by ad revenue. YouTube is another treasure trove of free tutorials—plus, if you’re reading this, chances are you found me here too. 😉

All Free Crochet Afghans

Love making blankets or afghans? All Free Crochet Afghans is a must-visit, featuring over 2,500 free blanket patterns. From granny squares to sew together and make blankets with to intricate designs, this is a treasure trove for blanket patterns!

Premier Yarns

Lastly, let’s talk about Premier Yarns. Their patterns are as affordable as their yarn, with plenty of options for hats, scarves, sweaters, and home decor. Some of their knitting patterns even tempt me to pick up needles—like the Pickleball Pullover (so cute!) and their Valentine’s Day pillows.
